 The Nanostructured Materials for Power (NMP) program exploits advanced nano-materials
for revolutionary improvements in power applications of interest to the Department
of Defense. Nano-materials possess chemical, electromagnetic, and thermal properties
capable of enhancing the performance of material structures for power applications.
Ability to decouple and independently control physical phenomena at the nanoscale
will enable improvements in the energy product of magnets and the efficiency
of tomorrow's thermoelectric devices.
